The Power Of Voice In Earning Money With Your Art and Culture
There’s no shame in earning money from art or by sharing your culture. You don’t have to be an artist or an entrepreneur. You can be both!
Voice plays an important role in how successful you become and how you (and others) perceive you and your business. This includes your own voice (inner, verbal, and physical voice) and the voice of others around you.
While success is not defined by how others treat you, would you see more success when people build you up or pull you down? How you talk to yourself (your inner voice) also matters.
Ajanta Chakraborty is co-founder of Bolly & Culture Groove. In this interview with my friend, we celebrate the marriage of art and business and address the shame people have around earning money with their art towards successful entrepreneurship
We also talk about how Ajanta dealt with the cultural perceptions and biases that she faced, energetic resonance, and surrounding ourselves with people who support our voice.
Ajanta shares with us how she and her husband Vivek became accidental authors, that 3 year olds have the attention span of an ant, and more personal moments such as the discomfort around being misunderstood in the U.S. due to Indian English having a different syllabic emphasis than local speech.
